Why I chose OU: The University of Oklahoma was my first interview on the trail—and easily the most memorable. What stood out to me was how genuinely invested the faculty, residents, and coordinators were—not just in my academic background, but also in my family, interests, and life outside the hospital. They took the time to showcase both the program and the city, even sharing photos of the beautiful campus and local OKC hotspots that aligned with my hobbies. I left that interview feeling confident that I could truly thrive at OU, both personally and professionally. The camaraderie among the residents and faculty was palpable, and the strength of the clinical training made it clear that OU would prepare me exceptionally well for a career in anesthesiology.
