2012 MSc in Biomedicine University of Barcelona, Spain
2007 BSc in Biochemistry University of Havana, Cuba
Clinical/Research Interests:
My research interests include the redox communication between astrocytes and neurons, and the role of protein glutathionylation in regulating the metabolic capacity of neural cells to cope with and recover from excitotoxic and neurometabolic insults. I am particularly interested in harnessing the activity of Glutaredoxin-1 to elicit cellular resilience to neurodegeneration.
