Dr. Carisa Wilsie is a licensed psychologist and assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She is also adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Wilsie is currently serving as the Director of Quality Improvement of Child Well-Being for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division. She was recently appointed by the Oklahoma Senate Pro Tem to the board for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Auburn University. She is trained in providing evidence-based treatment for children who have experienced child abuse and neglect, exhibit disruptive behavior problems, and/or display problematic sexual behavior. Additionally, she trains therapists nationwide in providing evidence-based services to children and adolescents. She spends a lot of time with foster parents as well in training and support roles to better the environments for our children in state custody.
