Ms. Heather Heizer is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Associate
Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where her
primary responsibilities focus on didactic education. She earned her Master
of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2008 from the University of
Colorado Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant (CHAPA) Program.
Prior to joining the faculty, Ms. Heizer spent 18 years practicing in
Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s Hospital Colorado and
Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, with clinical experience spanning both
inpatient and outpatient care. Her professional interests include infectious
diseases education, antimicrobial stewardship, and the care of
immunocompromised pediatric patients.
Ms. Heizer also earned a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular
Biology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where she
graduated Magna Cum Laude.
