Jonathan D Day, PhD, CPO

Jonathan completed his O&P education at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1996. He completed his orthotic residency here at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1997 and his prosthetic residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1998. He was certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetic and Pedorthics in 1999. He has been faculty at OUHSC in the College of Medicine since the fall of 2000.
Jonathan completed his PhD in rehabiliation science in the spring of 2023 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His research initiative is focused on post-amputation healing and readiness for prosthetic treatment. Patient centered team rehabilitation yields optimal outcomes for patients requiring an amputation and prosthetic treatment.
Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors playing sports, hunting and fishing with his family. He and his wife have two beautiful daughters who keep the family busy with extracurricular activities.
