Associate Professor
Santaram Vallurupalli, MD, is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in spine injuries and illnesses. He is also an Assistant Professor with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine.
Dr. Vallurupalli earned his medical degree from Guntur Medical College Guntur, India, in 2001. After completing rotations in Neurosurgery, Spine Surgery, and Research, he went on to complete an Orthopedic Residency at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 2013. He continued his specialized education, receiving Fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Spine Health in Cleveland, OH in 2014.
Dr. Vallurupalli is the author of several book chapters published in e-Medicine.
He earned many honors and awards during his Residency and Fellowship, including the Resident Award for Academic Excellence and the Resident Research Award form the University of Missouri, in 2013.
Dr. Vallurupalli serves on several committees aimed at improving spine injury operations and outcomes.
