Sarah K Minor, DO, FAAHPM, HMDC, FACOEP, Vice Chief of Palliative Medicine in the section of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. She is also the Director, Palliative Medicine Program with OU Health. She is a palliative medicine physician who specializes in helping people with advanced illness live their best lives. After completing undergraduate studies at Oklahoma Christian University, she attended Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing internship and residency through the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her initial practice of emergency medicine has expanded to include special interests in hospice and palliative medicine and addiction medicine. Dr. Minor is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, a C.S. Costin Scholar with Advanced Certificate from the Costin Institute for Osteopathic Medical Education, a Certified Hospice Medical Director (HMDC) and holds an Advanced Studies Certificate in Essentials of Addiction Medicine through the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Minor has previous palliative medicine practice and program development experience at Mercy Health and Integris Health. She has also enjoyed working with the Valir PACE program and educating OU HPM fellows in hospice care. Outside of medicine, she is a wife and boy mom x3 and an accomplished flutist and ballroom dancer. Other special interests include nutrition, bodybuilding and general aviation.
