Dr. Lucas was born in Richmond, Virginia, and moved to Plano, Texas, for her high school years. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Lucas officially became an Okie when she moved to Tahlequah, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry education at Northeastern State University.
Dr. Lucas and her husband have four children and she enjoys spending time staying involved in their activities, especially coaching volleyball. In addition, she loves to travel, garden and participate in church activities.
