The Department of Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is proud to offer a StrokeNet Fellowship through the Southwestern Stroke Alliance, part of the national NIH StrokeNet research network.
The NIH StrokeNet is a nationwide consortium created by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) to design and conduct clinical trials in stroke prevention, treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation. As a participating regional coordinating center, OUHSC provides fellows with opportunities to engage in multicenter trials, develop skills in clinical research, and collaborate with leading investigators across the country.

Fellowship Overview
The StrokeNet Fellowship is a one-year program designed for early-career neurologists interested in developing expertise in stroke research and clinical trial methodology. Fellows will:
- Receive hands-on training in the design and conduct of stroke clinical trials.
- Work directly with the Southwestern Stroke Alliance research team.
- Collaborate with national and international investigators in the NIH StrokeNet network.
- Gain mentorship in grant writing, study design, and translational research.
Eligibility
The fellowship is open to anyone with an interest in stroke research (neurologist and non-neurology trainees, faculty, neurologist, neurosurgeon as well as other specialties and subspecialties (i.e ED, PMR, Speech therapist, PT. OT, pharmacy).
