Dr. Shinobu Itagaki is a dedicated cardiovascular surgeon at OU Health, specializing in adult cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure treatment. As Section Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery and Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Dr. Itagaki is at the forefront of innovative heart care, actively involved in performing transplants and managing complex heart cases.
Dr. Itagaki earned his Doctor of Medicine from Tohoku University School of Medicine, followed by a Master of Science in Biostatistics and Clinical Research from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His extensive training took place in New York and Japan, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical practice and research.
