J. Christian Peterson, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, focusing on arthroscopic and reconstructive procedures of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip. He has extensive experience providing team coverage for collegiate and professional athletics, including the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Club, Villanova University, St. Joseph University, and Drexel University Athletics. He cares for athletes and active individuals of all ages and is passionate about optimising their function and quality of life.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Peterson is active in research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and ongoing projects in orthopaedic surgery. He has presented at national and international conferences and is a member of several professional organisations, including the American Orthopaedic Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of medicine, Dr. Peterson enjoys golfing, boating, basketball, organising open gym sessions, intramural sports, fly fishing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
