William R. Puffinbarger, MD

William R. Puffinbarger, MD, is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Pediatric Orthopedics. His areas of interest are in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery including scoliosis, developmental dysplasia of the hip, clubfeet, pediatric fractures as well as cerebral palsy.
Dr. Puffinbarger earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK in 1991. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1996. He continued his specialized education, in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at Babies and Children's Hospital of New York in New York, NY in 1999.
Dr. Puffinbarger currently serves as the Medical Director of the OU Children's Physicians Clinic in Children's Hospital. He also serves as Course Director for student rotations in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He is active on the College of Medicine Admissions Board and is currently the Vice Chairman of the OU Physicians Group Finance Committee.
