How to Apply

The deadline for submitting all application materials to the OUHC PA Program is September 1. We encourage applicants to check the online application checklist often to confirm that all application components have been received. The CASPA application must be verified by October 1.

To be considered for admission to the OUHC Physician Associate Program, a completed application must be submitted through CASPA, and a supplemental application must be submitted to the OUHC Office of Recruitment and Admissions. Applications for the OUHC Physician Associate Program Class of 2029 (matriculating May 2027) are available through CASPA beginning June 1. CASPA Application Deadline: Submit by September 1

To qualify for the Class of 2029 entrance, the online application and all supporting documentation must be submitted to CASPA by midnight Eastern on September 1. A completed CASPA application includes:

  1. Three letters of reference (entered on CASPA application). 
  2. Personal statement (entered on CASPA application). 
  3. Life Experiences Essay (entered on CASPA application).  
  4. Resume (template provided; uploaded to the CASPA application). 
  5. Official transcripts sent directly from all schools attended to CASPA.
  6. Medical and non-medical experiences.

After submitting the online application, applicants should check the CASPA Applicant Portal frequently to verify that references, personal statements, resumes, and transcripts have been received and verified. The CASPA application must be verified by October 1.

OUHC Supplemental Application Deadline: September 1

The supplemental application for the OUHC Physician Associate Program is located at https://apps.ouhsc.edu/admissions/. Applications will not be considered complete until the CASPA, supplemental applications, and all the necessary documents for both applications have been received. For questions about completing the OUHC supplemental application, email the OUHC Recruitment and Admissions Office at admissions@ouhsc.edu.

Kira Assessment Deadline: 10 days from invitation

Kira is an asynchronous, on-demand video and written assessment platform used to evaluate applicants' soft skills, personality, and communication. Applicants record their answers to timed questions, often addressing scenarios, ethical dilemmas, or personal experiences. More information will be provided at a later date.

If invited, complete the Kira Assessment within 10 days of the invitation and pay the fee. All eligible applicants will receive an email invitation to complete the assessment. Ineligible applicants will also be notified via email.

English proficiency: TOEFL requirements

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential to your success at the OUHC. You must demonstrate English proficiency before admission if English is not your first language. See the list of English proficiency requirements listed by the academic program.

If an applicant is not exempt from the list in the link above, all applicants born outside the United States, regardless of citizenship status, must provide a TOEFL score of 79 or better on the Internet-based test or secure a TOEFL waiver by September 1 to be considered for admission. The CASPA application and OUHC supplemental application must be submitted by midnight Eastern Time on September 1, and the CASPA application must be verified by October 1 for applicants to be considered for admission to the University of Oklahoma Health Campus Physician Associate Program.
