Living in Oklahoma City

We have residents living in nearly every corner of the OKC metro. We love the large variety of affordable housing options. Many are able to buy homes should they choose to do so! Oklahoma City's overall cost of living is 20% less than the national average with the housing cost per month being nearly 50% lower than the US average. Average rent for the area is $938 per month and median home price is around $275,000.

Our Department Favorites

Some of our favorite city center districts:

  • Asian District: Known for incredible food and culture experiences. Here you'll find some of the best Asian restaurants the metro has to offer, popular food tours, and annual festivals
  • Downtown: Filled with skyscrapers, museums, and the largest park in the metro, our city center has it all. We love that the Thunder arena is walkable to so many bars and restaurants!
  • Midtown: Walkable area that has something to do all times of day. From local restaurants to upbeat beer halls, our residents love living in this area.
  • Plaza District: One of the quirkiest corners of our city, this district is filled with local shops, art, and bars.
  • Uptown 23rd: Along the historic Route 66 and with one of the newest neighborhood revitalizations in OKC, our residents love the diverse food offerings located here.
  • Wheeler District: Food trucks, farmers markets, and the Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel make this district a favorite, especially for those residents with small children thanks to the large greenspace.
