How to Apply

The deadline for submission of all application materials to the OU OKC PA Program is October 1st of every year. We encourage applicants to submit their applications early and check the online application checklist often to confirm that all components of the application have been received.

In order to be considered for admission to the University of Oklahoma Physician Associate Program-Oklahoma City, a completed application must be submitted through CASPA and a supplemental application must be submitted to the OUHSC Office of Admissions and Records.  Applications for the University of Oklahoma Physician Associate Program-Oklahoma City Class of 2026 (matriculating June 2024) are available through CASPA beginning June 1. CASPA Application Deadline: October 1

To qualify for entrance into the Class of 2026, the online application and all supporting documentation must be submitted to CASPA by October 1. A completed CASPA application includes:

  1. CASPA application.
  2. Three letters of reference (entered on CASPA application). (These are submitted as part of the application)
  3. Personal statement (uploaded to CASPA application).  Official transcripts sent directly from all schools attended.

After submitting the online application, applicants should check the CASPA Applicant Portal frequently to verify that references, personal statements, resume, and transcripts have been received and verified. You do not need to send transcripts to OUHSC.

OUHSC Supplemental Application Deadline: October 1

The supplemental application for the University of Oklahoma Physician Associate Program-Oklahoma City is located at https://apps.ouhsc.edu/admissions/. A separate $75 supplemental application fee is required.  Applications will not be considered complete until the CASPA and supplemental applications and all required documents for both applications have been received.


English-proficiency requirements: All applicants born outside the United States, regardless of citizenship status, are required to provide a TOEFL score of 79 or better on the Internet-based test or secure a TOEFL waiver by October 1, to be considered for admission.

The CASPA application and OUHSC supplemental application must be completed by October 1, for an applicant to be considered for admission to the University of Oklahoma Physician Associate Program-Oklahoma City. 

CASPer

CASPer must be completed by the October 1 deadline.

The CASPer test assesses non-cognitive skills and interpersonal characteristics important for successful students and graduates of the program and is used to complement the other applicant screening tools. Completion of the CASPer test is required; results are valid for one admissions cycle.
