As the largest medical center in the state and a renowned level I trauma center, the University of Oklahoma trains leaders in both private practice and academic Radiology. The program provides outstanding training in the fundamental skills and knowledge that make a successful career in a wide variety of settings.
At the University of Oklahoma, we offer a balance of inpatient care, outpatient care, as well as critical care in three distinct hospital settings. The moderate size of our program allows personal attention to each resident to ensure career goals are achievable. As you consider your future career, schedules are designed to provide maximum exposure to our many subspecialties. Residents can devote most of their fourth year to electives that include subspecialty, imaging skills, and faculty mentored research.
Our campus is a thriving, energetic center for academic excellence. We share expansive resources that are offered by being one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges on a single campus. Stephenson Cancer Center (https://stephensoncancercenter.org/) is a NCI-designated cancer center. Also on campus, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (www.omrf.org) is one of the largest and oldest nonprofit medical research institutions in the US.
