Following a strong desire to care for individuals and their family, Dr. Wismann pursued medical training at the CU School of Medicine in 2009, followed by a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Colorado. She practiced rural medicine in Colorado for 8 years providing broad spectrum medical care various settings, including the ER, in-patient, clinic, assisted living and nursing homes including dementia care.
She moved back to Oklahoma with her husband and two boys, and is enjoying being back in academic medicine and research. Her passion is taking care of older adults, and is she is developing a geriatric oncology clinic at Stephenson Cancer Center.
