Rachel Hand, PA-C, MPAS, graduated with her Master’s Degree in PA Studies from UT Southwestern in Dallas in 2003. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work in a variety of specialties, including cardiology, internal medicine, pain management, primary care/soldier readiness for service members and their dependents, and endocrinology. While working in endocrinology In Kansas City, she realized that every time she walked out of a room after caring for an older adult, she was smiling. She knew then that her passion was providing care for patients in the geriatric age range. Thus, she moved to Oklahoma City and started with the OUHSC Department of Geriatrics in 2015.

Here at OUHSC she is fortunate to have found a job that she loves. She provides primary care for patients at the OU Senior Health Clinic, in person and via telemedicine. She cares for residents at a community Nursing Home. And she shares the joys of providing care to this patient population with medical school and PA students.

She is a member of the American Academy of PAs, the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Geriatrics Society and the Gerontological Society of America.
