Dr. Marisol Castillo-Castrejon's research program envisions a life course approach and aims broadly to explore the role of nutrition on women’s health. Her research program is divided into three main areas: 1) placental function as a determinant of developmental programming of metabolic diseases ; 2) nutritional epidemiology & environmental exposures during pregnancy; and 3) menopause & diabetes risk.
