The Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation supervises this unique residency program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Each discipline is a one-year program that allows residents to meet examination requirements in compliance with the regulations established by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. It also complies with the essentials set forth by the National Commission on Orthotics and Prosthetic Education.
The resident will receive experience in both adult and pediatric treatment concepts, as well as a variety of clinical, hospital, trauma, laboratory, and technical experiences.
This program is designed to meet the training needs of the new graduate. This program will include daily direct patient contact. The resident will also have the opportunity to interact with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver the ultimate in patient care.
