Subspecialty - Transplant Infectious Diseases

After Completing Medical School in Costa Rica and Internal Medicine Residency at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Henao went to the University of Colorado where he underwent fellowship training in Infectious disease and Transplant Infectious diseases. His clinical/research interests include caring for the immunosuppressed host, addressing disparities in healthcare and culturally competent care. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Infectious Diseases Section in the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Outside of medicine he enjoys hiking, reading, eating Latin food, working out and salsa dancing.
