Dr. Fleming (she/her) is an Assistant Professor and licensed Health Service Psychologist in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr. Fleming’s clinical work focuses on evidence-based and trauma-informed assessment and intervention for children of varied developmental functioning levels who have experienced traumatic events and/or exhibit behavioral difficulties. She is a certified trainer of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and she is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, she conducts clinical treatment in the Oklahoma model of cognitive-behavioral treatment for adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors. Dr. Fleming has a particular clinical and research interest in adaptations of evidenced-based care to meet the needs of families with marginalized identities and children with developmental differences. Her research centers on the interactive application of mixed-methods research which facilitates effective parenting attitudes, expectations, and behaviors, including child maltreatment prevention and program evaluation.
