Since the fall of 2001, The Trauma One Center at OU Medical Center has been the only Level One Trauma Center in Oklahoma as verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the highest national rating a trauma center can receive. Our ER and Trauma department is involved in providing the highest level of surgical care to trauma patients working with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and health care staff as well as specialists and specialized, state-of-the-art equipment capable of treating the most severe and critical injuries, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Division of ER and Trauma Imaging covers all aspects of emergent and urgent imaging including Plain Films (x-ray), Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography (CT) scans, Magnetic Resonance (MRI), and advanced Ultrasound. The breadth of experience among the faculty is reflected in the wide range of academic pursuits enjoyed by the division. The faculty are actively involved in providing top-notch, coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients.
