Ronald A. Squires, MD

Tenured Professor of Surgery


Ronald Squires, MD, FACS, is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma. A graduate of the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Dr. Squires completed his residency in surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he was awarded the Lloyd and Ruth Rader Award for being the Outstanding Senior Resident on the OU Health Science Center Campus in 1994. Dr. Squires also was a National Institutes of Health Research Scholar at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation from 1990-92.

He is Medical Director of the Breast Leadership Group of the Oklahoma Breast Health Institute since 2012. Dr Squires is Board-Certified in Surgery by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Squires currently serves as the Oklahoma Governor on the Board of Governors for the American College of Surgeons and as Chair of the Patient Education Workgroup for the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Squires has devoted his entire surgical practice to the care of benign and malignant diseases of the breast.
