   KEYNOTE SPEAKER
     Michelle Guy, MD

Michelle Guy, MD is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco.  Dr. Guy is a leader in medical education.  She serves as Director of Diversity for Graduate Medical Education and is a Dean's Diversity Leader for Differences Matter.  In these roles she works with learners and faculty, not only to improve diversity, but promote equity and inclusion across the school of medicine. Her leadership has lead not only to increased diversity of our trainees but also a more inclusive learning environment for students, residents and faculty.  She leads the UCSF Differences Matter DEI Champion training program which has trained over 3000 UCSF faculty and staff in DEI.  Dr. Guy is a member of the UCSF LatinX Center of Excellence Administrative Core Faculty and is the co-director of the resident mentoring program, SALUD. She will serve as Associate Director for UCSF SOM Anti-Oppression curriculum. She is a member of the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators and has several teaching awards including induction into the Gold-Headed Cane society.

She earned her medical degree from University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a Primary Care Residency and Chief Residency at Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School.  Board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, she lectures nationally on Obesity Medicine and serves on the American Board of Obesity Medicine both on the Item Writing Committee and as a member of their Board.
