Program at a Glance
RISE-MED is a fully online, asynchronous post-baccalaureate certificate program. All instruction is delivered through virtual coursework—no clinical, lab, or in-person requirements. The program is designed for flexibility while maintaining the structure and academic rigor necessary for medical school preparation.
Certificate Requirements
Total Credits: 15 credit hours
Completion Time: 1–2 semesters (depending on student pace)
Delivery: 100% online, no on-campus attendance required
Courses
RISE-MED includes five 3-credit interdisciplinary courses:
- MED 7003 – MCAT Preparation
- MED 7013 – Foundations in Biomedical Science
- MED 7023 – Social Determinants of Health
- MED 7033 – Molecular Biology
- MED 7043 – Immunology
Each course is designed to build content knowledge, critical thinking, and professional readiness for students pursuing careers in medicine or advanced health professions.
