Sharon Jia, MD

Dr. Jia is a fellow at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Department of Family Medicine, Section of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine. She graduated from Penn State College of Medicine in 2018 and completed emergency medicine residency at Wellspan York Hospital in 2021. She finished an emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in 2022 where she stayed on as an attending physician until 2023. She moved to Iowa for her husband's career and worked in the emergency department at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, from 2023-2024. She then became interested in hospice and palliative care and decided to pursue another fellowship. Her interests include palliative care, emergency medicine, and ultrasound. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with and walking her two cats, trying different kinds of cuisines, and nature walks.
